  1. FirstClass Demo .FCS and .DLL files for Windows

  4. Use these files on a Windows machine with the FirstClass® Client for Windows to connect to the FirstClass demo server.  The "Demo Installation-Read Me" file included with this package contains full instructions, but here is an abbreviated installation guide:

  6. 1) Install the Windows client as directed.
  7. 2) Ensure your Windows computer is connected by Ethernet to the Macintosh running the FirstClass demo server.  If not, you may only connect to the demo server by modem.
  8. 2) Transfer the enclosed FCDEMO.FCS and FCDEMO.DLL files to the Windows Client's SETTINGS sub-directory.  These give the FirstClass Windows client the same background graphics and custom resources as the Macintosh client when connecting to the demo server.
  9. 3) Run the FirstClass client and, when prompted, select the FCDEMO.FCS file to connect to the FirstClass Demo Server.
  10. 4) Enter a user ID as indicated on the login graphic and press the Login button.

  12. You may disregard the above and delete these files if you do not intend to connect to the demo server with a Windows machine.
